Whitgift School, founded in 1596, is one of the leading schools in England. The campus, located in South London, is 30 minutes away from Gatwick Airport and one hour away from Heathrow Airport. Students participating in the Whitgift Summer School program have the opportunity to practice with British students who are attending the school’s academic year. The school provides General English, Pre-IB, and Pre-IGCSE education.

Students in the age groups of 11-13 and 14-17 receive 23 hours of English education per week. Students are placed in classes based on a level test conducted at the beginning of the course. Students are expected to continuously communicate in English outside of class. The following subjects are covered:

Pre-IB Program

28.07.2024 – 18.08.2024 (3 weeks)
Students aged 14-16 who participate in the program are required to have a minimum English level of B2. They receive 23 hours of education per week. Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) are part of the education but are not taught as separate subjects. The following subjects are covered:

- English Language & Literature Acquisition
- Progressive Skills in Action

Pre-IGCSE Program:

28.07.2024 – 18.08.2024 (3 weeks)
This program is offered to students aged 11-13 who plan to study boarding school in the UK. It includes English, Science, and Mathematics classes.
Accommodation
Students stay in double or triple occupancy rooms with private showers and toilets on a full board basis. Students who speak the same language are not allowed to stay in the same room. Free Wi-Fi service is available in the dormitories.
Activities
Students can choose from a variety of activities on a weekly basis, including football, basketball, tennis, horseback riding, swimming, dance, badminton, table tennis, and more. In the evenings, entertainers organize talent shows, discos, karaoke, cinema nights, and bowling. British students also participate in post-class activities.

Full-day and half-day trips are organized weekly to places like the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, West End Musicals, Harry Potter Studios, Thorpe Park, Oxford, and more.
Airport Transfer
The school provides free transfer services to/from Heathrow and Gatwick Airports at the specified days and times.
